Christmas is the one time of year I fully embrace the color red and fill my home and table with red accents. I just love traditional Christmas decor, and what is more classic than red (and green) for the holidays! Much like my home around Christmas, I wanted my Christmas table is to be classic and festive, with a touch of whimsy.

To create a classic and festive table, I started out with a red and green floral tablecloth and topped it with green scalloped placemats (I actually bought these for my Easter table last spring)! I paired my vintage green dinner plates with my favorite green floral napkins from D’ascoli. There are so many ways to style dinner napkins, but using a simple ribbon might be my favorite. To create this bow inspired napkin, I simply cinched the middle of the napkin and tied it with a thin red velvet ribbon!

Because of the beautiful pattered tablecloth, I wanted to keep the table decor simple. For the centerpiece, I chose a combination of red and white flowers mixed with greenery. I also scattered fresh greenery and a few decorative Christmas trees down the center of the table. To add a little height, I added glass candlesticks with burgundy tapered candles.
I’m sharing more table details from this table below!
